Marvin Cohn, 91, of Houston, Texas, passed away October 19, 2016. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 7th, 1925 to parents Louis and Rose Cohn. He was married to Patricia Cohn for 56 years. Marvin graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and had a career primarily focused in the aerospace industry. A licensed engineer, he was a distinguished member of the space program working for NASA for over 35 years and a key participant in the early development of the Johnson Space Center. While he cherished spending time with his family and friends, Marvin pursued his passion for golf for over sixty years and was a winner of multiple amateur tournaments and had seven hole-in-ones.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Pearl Goldman. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia, brother-in-law Bob Pierce and wife Merlene, brother-in-law Bill Pierce and wife Teri, sister-in-law Lois Coldewey, sister-in-law Nancy Becker and husband Art, son Sam Cohn and wife Barbara, daughter Wendy Bowden and husband Dennis, son Dennis Cohn and wife Melissa, son Terry Cohn and wife Fayda, son Kevin Cohn and wife Teri, grandchildren Elissa, Aaron, Amie, Spencer, Louie, Lindsay, Danielle, Veronica, Stefani, Maddie, Catherine, Cameron, Braden, Eric, Melody, Mia, great grandchildren Kaylie, Alexis, Austin, Taylor, Archer, Meredith, Lucas and many other nephews, nieces, family members and friends.
On Saturday, October 22nd a private viewing will be held for the immediate family at 2 p.m. Services will be held at 3 p.m. in the chapel at Forest Park East with interment to follow.
