Mary Galvan

Mary Weaver Galvan passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 93. Mary was born in San Benito, Texas to Robert and Refugia Weaver on July 9, 1932. She married her forever love Oscar Galvan, Sr. They were married for 64 wonderful years. She was a member of Elim Church In Houston, Texas and also the Word of Life Christian Center in Buda, Texas. Her passions included serving God through various ministries and her love for her family.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Oscar Galvan Sr. and her son Oscar Galvan Jr. (Lydia) Her brothers Tony Weaver (Olga), Willie Weaver (Concepcion) and Eddie Weaver (Adalina). Her sisters Eloisa Cardenas (Freddie), Ester del Toro (Antonio), Minnie Escobedo (Oscar) and Lilly Vasquez (Capi).

She is survived by her sisters Julia Castro (Lupe) and Mela Duarte (Jodie). Her children, Diane Garcia (Fred), Tony Galvan, and Richard Galvan. Her grandchildren Camille Jury (Paul), Freddie Garcia, Jennifer Galvan (Hector Pena), Mandi Soto (Juan), Michael Galvan (Leslie), Bradley Galvan and Joey Galvan. Her great-grand children Katelyn Jury, Emma Garcia, Serena and Siera Pena, Jayden, Cy and Kase Soto, and Hailey and Hunter Galvan.
