Mary Ann King was born on April 10, 1935, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Henry Clyde King and Hazel King. She passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 90 in Santa Clarita, California. She grew up in Waurika and moved to Duncan, Oklahoma when she married William Morgan in 1955. Through their union they had two children, Karen and Lisa. The couple moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Houston, Texas in 1958.
Mary Ann loved the state of Texas and had many happy times there. She married Eugene Smith in 1988, and they had 26 wonderful years together. After his death, she moved to California to be close to Karen.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughters, Karen Richardson (Greg) and Lisa West (Chris); grandsons Kyle (Mary) and James (Christina) Richardson, Patrick, Keith (Erica) and Andrew West; great grandchildren Wyatt, Harper & Ruby Richardson; Taylor & Noah Richardson, Charlotte & Theadora West; her brother Bill King (Angie); nephew Tony King (Dayl); and a host of other family members.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene, and her grandson, Timothy West.
Mary Ann loved and was loved by her family and her many friends. Traveling brought her great joy, as did cooking, playing Bridge, sewing, camping, boating, fishing, being with friends and watching college football (Boomer Sooner!!) and the Astros. But her greatest joy and source of pride was being “Mimi” to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
