

He was born November 28, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan to Glenn & Rebecca Poet .
Jack was raised in Auburn Heights Michigan. He went into the Airforce at a young age where he served 20 plus years for his country. He then came to Texas and went into the Scaffold business and later retired.
Jack was a kind man that cared for others. He was always giving and helpful when needed. He was a gentle soul but was worldly and would stand his ground for his loved ones and those he cared for. He loved his church and loved learning about the word of God.
In the past he loved the water and boating. Taking his family on a nice boat ride was something he enjoyed.
He was preceded in death by his father: Glenn Poet; mother: Rebecca Poet; former spouse: Mae Poet; sisters: Sally and Karen Poet.
He is survived by spouse: Diane Poet; Daughters: Melani Poet, Tamara Poet, Melynda Poet and Shanna Poet; Step Daughters: Cindy Hubeli, Windy Huff and Michelle Moore; Grandchildren: Justin Richardson, Gabriel Poet-Jones, Ryder Poet-Jones, Rohm Poet-Galvin, Hagan Poet-Galvin, Eoin Poet-Galvin, Travis Hubeli, Carter Hubeli, Cody Huff, Taylor Moore and Caleb Moore; Great-Grandchildren: James Richardson, Cody Lee Huff.
A visitation for Jack will be held Monday, July 3, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 3, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598. A graveside service will occur Monday, July 3, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
