Having lived a generous life, Mike was received into eternity on April 30, 2026. After high school where he was a popular track and baseball athlete, Mike worked many years bringing success to his family's newspaper equipment company. But it was after the passing of his father Glen Graves in 1988 that Mike changed his life and overcame addictions and gave of himself for the following decades in serving others.
For those many years Mike touched individual lives through counseling, social work, support of inmates and simply being a help, friend and example. Looking back on his own darker days, Mike would recall, "I was just lonely." There are many who are not so lonely now because Mike showed quiet support and love.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Jeanne Graves, his FAVORITE sister Marjorie Graves Morgan and brother Glen Graves.
He is survived by brother Scott Graves and his family, sister and brother-in-law Glenda and Steve Hamner and their family, niece Jeanne Dworak and her family, niece Andrea Wilburn(Tami Pearson) who loved and cared for Mike tirelessly, selflessly during all times of the day and night with tenderness and respect at their home, and nephew Brian Graves and his family.
