Michael Angel Lara “Mike” born December 6, 1963 in Houston, Texas passed away on January 2, 2017.

He was a loving husband of 30 years to Nancy and father to Sarah, Olivia, Madeline and Autumn.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita R. Lara and is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Sarah, Olivia, Madeline and Autumn; father, Sabino G. Lara Jr.; brothers and sisters, Liz Lara Carreno and husband Hector, Sylvia Lara Palos, Sabino Jr. III and wife Magda, Grace Lara Ramirez, Jaime Lara and wife Lisa, Rene Lara and wife Belinda, Kathy Lara Diaz and husband Eddie, the Ramirez family, in-laws, as well as his many relatives, friends and neighbors, who loved him and will greatly miss him.

Mike was the funniest man you will have met, had a very giving nature, a listening ear, was well-respected, a much beloved son, fun and caring brother, loving father, great uncle, greatly esteemed brother in law and good, dear friend. He appreciated learning, especially electronics, science, engineering, an expert technician. Mike was an avid collector of music and books. He enjoyed sports, the outdoors, especially fishing. His joy was spending time with his family.

He was the owner of Lara Solutions, LLC. He was committed to his faith and church as a member of St. Mary's Church in League City, Knights of Columbus Council 9310 and the ACTS community. Michael served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps and belonged to the American Legion Post 578.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1612 E. Walker St., League City, TX 77573. With the Vigil and Rosary recited at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church.
