Michael "Mike" Roy Stapp

Michael Roy Stapp, 75, resident of League City, Texas passed away on October 2, 2021. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan to Delma and Paul Stapp. At a young age his parents packed up the family and relocated to Texas. When in High School he played football for the Friendswood Mustangs, #31 and has loved football since. He also enjoyed shuffleboard.

Mike was drafted into the Army and sent to Vietnam. When his tours were complete, he became an MP in the Army, and then in his civilian life joined the police force. He was quite proud of being a police officer for Temple PD and his entire family was equally proud of him.

Mike is survived by his children Randi Clawson, Samantha Campbell and Michael Brandon Stapp, Paula Kay (Stapp) Hughes, his twin sister Dr. Judy Stapp-Hollis, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; along with his very large extended family. Mike immensely loved his family.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents Paul and Delma Stapp; brothers Tom and Richard Stapp; and two grandchildren, Hannah Wright Venditti and Randall Wright.

He will be deeply missed by every single member of his family. We will ALL miss him greatly!!

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below for the Stapp family.
