Michael J. Strom

Michael James Strom passed away peacefully November 4, 2014 at his home in Seabrook, Texas at the age of 58. He was born in El Paso, Texas to Raymond and Sharon Strom. Michael graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a Bachelors Degree in Forestry and received his

Masters Degree in Business from University of Houston. Michael married Belinda McHenry on June 12, 1988. They had 26 wonderful years together. He recently retired from Southwest Airlines at Hobby Airport. Michael enjoyed many activities and hobbies. He was a gun enthusiast, a skilled leather tanner, a licensed boat captain and could cook excellent barbeque. When Michael wasn't working, he loved to visit the mountains in his Airstream trailer.

Michael was a great husband, father, son, brother and uncle. Michael is preceded in death by his father Raymond Strom. He is survived by his wife Belinda Strom of Seabrook, Texas; son Christopher Strom of San Marcos, Texas; mother Sharon Strom of Livermore, California; mother-in-law Peggy Kosarko of Conroe, Texas; sister Brenda Schmiegel and husband Tom of Livermore, California; brother Jeff Strom and wife Debbie of El Paso, Texas; brother-in-law Brett McHenry and wife Susan of Austin, Texas; niece Brittany Hansen and husband Josh and their future child Hunter of Livermore, California; niece Clair Strom of San Antonio, Texas; nephew James Yeats and wife Jennifer and their children Bridget and Jimmy of Havertown, Pennsylvania; nephew Russell Yeats and wife Dana and children Connor, Taylor and Ryan of San Jose, California; nephew Matthew Strom of San Antonio, Texas; and nephew Andrew McHenry of Austin, Texas.

Michael fought a long hard battle for the past three years and is now at peace with his father, Raymond. His family is grateful to the many doctors, nurses, and caregivers that provided care for Michael. Michael and Belinda had the unending support of love and encouragement from family and friends. Michael and his clever wit will truly be missed.

A visitation will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Forest Park East Cemeter in Webster, Texas.
