Dear Meredith, Nick, Richard, Lauren, lil Ones, and rest of the family members,
My heart felt condolences and prayers for the family. You already know my relationship and love for Michelle. She is the very BEST leader one can ask for, a genuine mentor, a confidant, and a friend in need and in deed. Working with and under her leadership has enhanced my knowledge and professional skill sets. Michelle definitely ran a good race and completed the little dash that is in between her birthdate and her last date on this earth. Well done my good and faithful friend, I will miss you very much, but will join you one day. I pray the rest of us will carry this baton faithfully with endurance keeping our eyes on Jesus our Lord and savior (our ultimate prize). Much God’s love and Blessings!

Thanks to the family for posting so many wonderful photos.

Michelle Dotter was my co-chair on the university Planning & Budgeting Committee for many years. She was dedicated to the university and its students and her leadership was key to getting us through some tough times and building for the future. She always had a positive outlook on things and I learned a lot from her about life in general. The university community has lost a powerful supporter and advisor, and I hope her family can find some measure of peace.

I first met Michelle in 2013 when I was the student representative on the Planning and Budgeting Committee at the University of Houston - Clear Lake. During my year on that committee I was always impressed by Michelle and how she, despite her position as a Vice President, was always down to Earth and kind. She was particularly caring in clarifying things to me I did not quite understand throughout that year and expanding my knowledge for various campus procedures. As the years went bye Michelle would always greet me with a smile and hello as she did with so many of us on campus. I have no doubt that knowing Michelle made my experience at UHCL brighter and I will never forget how kind she was to me throughout the years. My prayers and deepest condolences go out to all of Michelle's family and friends. I hope you take comfort in knowing that one day you will be reunited with her.

Rest in Peace Michelle, and thank you for sharing your light with us.

Michelle was so key to leadership at UHCL for such a long time, and I am grateful for her service to the university. So much of what we are accomplishing today extends the effects of her work to the present and beyond. Michelle's legacy will always be remembered. May she rest in peace, and may her family find comfort in many years of happy memories.

Michelle always lit up a room when she walked in. She was a beautiful person with a great personality and so sweet. Sam and I have known her and Tom for about 30 years and always enjoyed being with both of them. She and Tom were parents to two wonderful children who I know will miss her tremendously. I visited her at the hospital several times and was always greeted with her beautiful smile. It was always a pleasure to be with her. To Meredith and Richard, may memories of her always be music to your hearts.

I had the privilege of knowing Michelle as both a friend and a professional colleague in the UH System. As a friend she was kind, thoughtful, fun and fun-loving. As a businessperson Michelle was smart, disciplined, and widely respected. Janet and I extend our deepest sympathy to Michelle’s kids and grandkids, who were the light of her life.
