Mozhdeh Shenavar-Mokhtari was a devoted mother, wife, Mimi, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her extraordinary warmth, generosity, courage and selflessness. She had a genuine gift for making others feel welcome and cared for, and she gave freely of herself to the people she loved. Her kindness was reflected not only in the love she showed her family, but also in the many friendships she nurtured throughout her life.
Mozhdeh’s greatest legacy and source of pride was raising three loving and compassionate sons. She was a one-of-a-kind example of strength, courage, and compassion—qualities she instilled with love and joy in her children and demonstrated to all who knew her.
Born in Abadan, Iran, Mozhdeh carried a deep and enduring love for her homeland, culture, and heritage throughout her life.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Manssor Mokhtari; her three sons, Mojtaba Mokhtari and his wife, Rayna Mokhtari, Mehdi Mokhtari, and Aria Mokhtari; her grandchildren; her mother, Mulok; her brother, Mansour; and her two sisters, Shahin and Noshin. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews and a community of dear friends whom she loved deeply. They will carry her memory forward, holding close the love, kindness, and countless memories she leaves behind.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the love she gave and the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the profound privilege of knowing her.
