

Naomi Fern Mathews, passed away on November 7, 2021. She was a resident of Titusville, FL. for 30 + years and recently of Melbourne Florida. She was at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, Florida at the time of her death.
Naomi was born in Houston TX. and grew up in Magnolia Park and Lawndale neighborhoods near Gulfgate Mall, and graduated from Milby High School. She then attended Bible College in Waxahachie, TX.
She married Billy Mac Mathews and had one son, Mark Mathews. Her early Career she served as an Executive Assistant in the trust department at Texas Commerce Bank in downtown Houston. Around 1970 she married Charles Lisenbe and moved to Friendswood Texas and worked at Lockheed Martin. Toward the end of the 1970's after that marriage she met Mak Mannen who also worked for Lockheed and they dated for about 7 years before marrying. Naomi and Mak moved to Titusville, FL in 1980 and lived there until Mak passed in July 2017 Naomi then moved to an assisted living facility, Hibiscus Court, located near her son Mark in August 2021.
Naomi was a very dedicated mom. She loved her son Mark and Mak's children Cathy, Debbie, Donna, Judy and David who grew up with Naomi and Mak in Titusville, Fl. She always enjoyed working and worked up until she retired. She enjoyed meeting with her friends from church and socializing. She always loved God and Jesus and enjoyed continually learning and growing in the Lord.
Naomi always enjoyed reading the Bible and attending church wherever she lived. When she was in her 30's, 40's and 50's, she enjoyed exercise and jazzercise classes. Her and Mak use to enjoy dancing and going to plays when they were younger. Naomi also took some painting classes and enjoyed that very much. While living in Titusville, she enjoyed bowling with a group of friends every Friday night. They also regularly played cards on Tuesday's and often Dominos as well.
Naomi was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Roxy Fern Payne Bear and Sydney Bear, Brother Maurice Bear, Mak Mannen, Charles Lisenbe, and Billy Mac Mathews.
She is survived by Mark Mathews (Son), Sister Betty Bear Shea, and her husband John. Maurice Bear's children, Sydney Bear his wife Christi and their children, Kathy, Bear Lay and her husband Mike and their children and Connie Bear Sipp and her husband David, Mak's Children - Cathy, Debbie and children, Donna, Judy and her husband Van Austin and their children and David and his wife Angela and their daughter.
A visitation for Naomi will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
