He attended Northside Elementary school in Richmond, and later his family moved to Hitchcock, Texas. He attended Lorraine Crosby through elementary and high school there.
Nathaniel was a member of Galilee Baptist Church. After graduation from Lorraine Crosby in 1965, he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1966 until he retired in 1986.
Later Nathaniel met his wife Norma which they were married over 40 plus years.
He preceded in death by his father Ernest,motherAddie Jean,and his wife Norma.
He leaves his memories to brother's Alfred and Kenneth, sisters Annette and Sandra Collins, a host of nieces,nephews, cousins, and friends.
