Pete has lived an interesting life full of vim and vigor. In high school he was a member of the ROTC. After graduation he attended 2 years of college studying business administration. He worked for the Attorney General of Texas as an insurance investigator, received recognition from Lloyds of London for achievements, owned 5 bars/nightclubs in San Antonio until he entered the Army in 1955-1957 training recruits at Fort Carson, Colorado. After the Army he moved to Monroe, Louisiana where he worked as a private investigator.
Upon returning to Texas, the Clear Lake/Dickinson area he obtained his real estate license where he assisted astronauts buying homes and the building of Sherwood Oaks in Dickinson. Pete owned two Century 21 offices, one in Dickinson and one in Galveston. The opportunity came to focus on commercial real estate, his true passion earning him recognition as Commercial Realtor of the year in 1995. He retired at the age of 90 where he found his love of art with the help of his granddaughter Desiree.
Pete is preceded in death by his father Juan Zamora, mother Hinijia Zamora, daughter Janie Orlando, son Edward Zamora, granddaughter Teri Orlando, sister Margaret Ordaz Gavino, brothers Joe Zamora, John Zamora and Victor Zamora.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 21 years, Leanne Zamora, son Rich Zamora and wife Claudia, daughter Sandy Crowder and husband Charlie, grandsons Jason Crowder and wife Amber, Jake Zamora, Nigel Zamora, Nathan Zamora and wife Megan, Edward Zamora and wife Aida, granddaughters Desiree Crowder, Mary Orlando, ConChatta Orlando, niece Virginia Evans and husband Herb. And 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a funeral service to start at 2:00 pm and a committal to follow. All services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas.
