She was born to Clarence and Stella (Brackett) Allison on August 10, 1938 in Brownsville, Texas.
Phoebe was a very creative and talented person. She was a telephone operator for 21 years until her retirement. Phoebe enjoyed cooking and baking for others so much she opened her own catering business. Her wedding and grooms cakes were unique and gorgeous. Her home was decorated top to bottom, inside and out with turtles of every kind and was always open to anyone. She raised her two grandsons BJ and Dillon and all of the neighborhood kids and teens called her "Nana". Phoebe dedicated the last 5 or so years of her mother's life to taking care of her 5 days a week until her health began to decline. She spent many nights playing cards with James and her best friends Dick and Hilda.
Phoebe(Nana) was a remarkable women who welcomed everyone equally and never judged. She had a way of seeing the best in everyone and we wish there were more like her in the world today.
Special thanks to her daughter Laura and grandson BJ for taking care of her (and James/Pop) for the last couple of years.
Phoebe has lived a rich life and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
