Phyllis Banbrook McFarland, 92, of Houston, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015. She was born in Highland Park, Michigan on October 03, 1923 to Herrmann Banbrook and Freda Hunter. Phyllis worked in Social Services and retired as Director of Community Youth Services for Harris County in 1999. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and had a passion for traveling, dancing, and volunteering. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Rumohr. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Christine Wagner and husband David; son, Michael McFarland and wife Juliet; grandchildren Phillip and Elizabeth Wagner, Michael, Fisher, and Ruby McFarland. The family will receive friends Friday, November 20, 2015 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home with a Memorial Service to celebrate Phyllis’ life beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
