Raymond W. Goldsmith, age 72, of League City, Texas, passed away December 1, 2018.
Ray was born in Lockport, New York on December 17, 1945 to Harry and Lucille (Johnson) Goldsmith.
He was married to Judith (Richmond) Goldsmith for 52 years.
He had a career in Chemistry and Sales until his retirement and held a U. S. Patent in the invention of a fire retardant cellulosic construction board. He had been a member of the Houston Chemical Association and had a passion for building elaborate model airplanes and ships. In later years, he shared his love of science with his granddaughter, Brooke, by performing science experiments together.
Ray was preceded in death by his sons, James Goldsmith and Daniel James Goldsmith; and also his brother, Bruce Goldsmith.
He is survived by his wife Judy; daughter, Jennifer and husband Jeff Lester; and granddaughter, Brooke.
