Raymond Lozano Terrazas

Born on August 17, 1939 in Richmond, Tx, he lived a life defined by hard work,faith, unwavering love for his family, and an infectious sense of humor that could brighten any room.

He dedicated more than 20 years of his career to Del Monte in Los Angeles, CA, where he worked as a warehouseman before retiring. Never one to slow down, he followed his passion for cooking by pursuing a career in cooking. He proudly owned a restaurant, for a short time, in L.A. and later continued sharing his love for cooking as a professional cook here in Texas.

Outside of work, he embraced life’s simple pleasures, He loved playing Bingo, trying his luck at the slot machines, and gathering around the poker table with family. A lifelong baseball fan, he rarely missed an opportunity to watch The Astros or share stories from years ago, His storytelling, and quick wit made every family gathering more memorable.

Those who knew him will remember his wonderful sense of humor, his generous heart, his devout faith, and most importantly, the true definition of what it means to be good father.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Luz Terrazas; his parents, Felipa Gomez and Domingo Terrazas; his daughter, Lolita; his son Ray Terrazas Jr.; his granddaughter, Selena; his sister, Mary Gonzalez; and his brothers, Salvador and Gilbert Gomez.

He is survived by his loving son, Miguel Terrazas and wife, Norma; his devoted daughter, Marylou Tindall and husband, Jason; his sisters, Janie Reyes and Vera Terrazaz; his brother, Richard Gomez; 11 cherished grandchildren; 21 beloved great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

A Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:00 am, St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City. Following the Mass, family and friends are warmly invited to gather at the family home for a meal, fellowship, and a celebration of his life as we share stories, laughter, and memories.
