Reba spent her early years in Brownsboro and later graduated from high school in Nacogdoches. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University, where she met the love of her life, Ralph. Their shared journey of love, partnership, and family began there and continued for over six decades.
She began her teaching career as a math teacher at Spring Branch High School, then transferred to Cy-Fair High School for 4 years. After relocating to League City, she continued teaching at Clear Creek High School. When she and Ralph started their family, Reba stepped away from the classroom to focus on raising their sons. During this time, she became deeply involved in the local school community, serving as President of the PTA both locally and at the area level. Later, Reba returned to teaching and continued to inspire students as a math teacher at Victory Lakes Intermediate.
Reba had a deep love for her family. Whether gathered around a home-cooked meal, camping, hunting, or fishing together, her happiest moments were spent surrounded by loved ones. She had a passion for making memories and took joy in preserving memories through creating beautifully arranged photo albums. A talented Bridge player and a devoted friend to many, Reba was known for her warmth, joyful spirit, vibrant smile and unforgettable laugh.
A woman of strong faith, Reba was a longtime member of Texas Avenue Baptist Church, where she faithfully volunteered her time and energy. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, and Director of VBS.
Reba’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Reba’s memory may be made to the general fund for Clear Creek Education Foundation, honoring her lifelong commitment to education and her community.
