Richard Alcala

Richard Alcala, 80, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021. He was born in Galveston, Texas on Monday, August 4, 1941 to Henry and Mary Alcala. He was married to Beatrice Alcala for 53 years. Richard had a passion for music, traveling with his children and most of all being a Pa.

He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Melissa Marie Alcala and his son, Robert Alcala.

He is survived by his daughters, Dina Stewart and husband Brad, Annette Lovelace and husband Steve, Angela McHugh and husband Todd; 9 grandchildren, Brandon Stewart and wife Jillian, Elizabeth Lovelace, Ty McHugh, Jonathan Alcala, Teresa McHugh, Christopher Lovelace, Tara McHugh, Brittany Lovelace and Jordan Stewart; 6 great grandchildren, Makenna Rose Alcala, Melissa Belle Howle, Magelina Marie McHugh, Maddison Amber McDonald, Macy Renee McDonald and Lillian Jo Stewart.

A visitation and Rosary were held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Mass was held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church. And interment was at Forest Park East Cemetery. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below for the Alcala family.
