Ricky,
I believe in your own way, you were trying to warn me not to go back to S.C.  I believe you knew about what was happening, and who the people around me truly were. I wish I would have listened to you.

Rick was truly a family man. He loved not only Kim with all his heart but he loved all his kids and grandkids. Anytime Rick would come home from working he either had a surprise for his grandkids or he would plan an outing for them. He always valued his time with his family no matter what. Rick will definitely be missed by many. Sending my condolences to the whole family durning this difficult time.

What I remember about my brother. We all lived on Winona st. Rick was 12 at the time. But he would go out seeking any kind of work to bring food home he'd cut grass and also work at the Stop and Go convenient store stocking shelves. But he would come home with a gallon of milk and a box of cereal and share it with us. We didn't have much back then. Rick was walking to work one day and asked God if this was all there was to his life would it always be like this for him when suddenly he heard a voice of God tell him that he was going to bless him. Knowing this was God, Rick believed that voice and he was blessed from that day forward. Rick lived a good life made good money, had a big family with lots of grandchildren whom he loved dearly. My brother before passing,called me, and he told me that he would never question the Lord again. Says that he prayed and that God spoke to him again,  saying; this is your cross to carry Rick, but I am with you. Rick goes on to say that After God spoke to him , His bed became more comfortable and he felt God's presence with him from the day he prayed until the day he died. God had told Rick that he would get better soon, and he will be going home to his family ,and, that God had a gift for Rick when he got home. When my brother told me this, I thought to myself, it sounds like he going to heaven. I didn't tell Rick this because his heart was set on going home to Kim, and his kids. Rick went on to say that the love and comfort that he is feeling was awesome, and that if something did happen to him, that he knew he would go to heaven and that was ok too. Anyway, my brother was love. He was patient, he was kind, he didn't envy,nor boast. He remembered no wrong. Yes, that was my brother. I loved him dearly, he was a light in my life. I love you Rick Olmos. Until we meet again. 


The Heaven has a warrior amongst them now. I am  blessed to have known you. You had a way with words and an unbelievable testimony to others. Until we meet again. Nevaeh sends love to heaven. 

My dad was an amazing  father, grandfather, husband, and loyal friend to many. He had a funny sense of humor, a hearty laugh, tons of compassion, an unbelievable ability to make everyone around him smile, and a deep knowledge of the world. He cared deeply about others; He said many comforting things in recent months—how I’ll carry him inside me, how my memories of him will live forever, I love you Dad.. until we meet again I will carry you til the end! My brother Rick Olmos went home to be with the Lord. May God be with his wife Kim and his children Ricky, Christy, Stephanie, Nick, Danielle, Ryan, and Lauren. He also had many grandchildren who are going to miss their papa. Your sisters Debra, Linda, Michelle, Deanna, and brother James are all going to miss you. As we struggle through wondering how we are going to get through this life without you. Your journey here on this earth has ended your struggle is over. I know you are at peace. You loved the Lord. If you say to me this was Gods will I know I must accept this. I can hear your voice telling me to accept Gods will that his will is perfect. It hurts bad and we are all going to grieve losing you. It is going to be hard for your family. You are a huge loss to all of us. You carried a lot. You made our lives easier. You provided. You loved your family so much you did not just say the words you showed it in all your actions. I admired you for your love of the lord and your love and commitment to your family. In my times of trouble you were my Rock and anchor always sharing the word of God  and providing spiritual guidance. How can I ever repay you for your time. You had a lot of patience. You were always kind. You built people up. Rick you were loved by so many. And when my journey ends on this earth I know you will be there to meet me. I will be praying for the Lord to give your wife Kim your children and grandchildren the strength to get through this. I will help them get through this doing whatever is needed. Vaya Con Dios until we meet again.
