Robert “Bob” Stephen Adamek, 56, of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2016 in Galveston, Texas. He was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on October 3, 1959 to Joseph John Adamek and Darlene Marie Charette.
Bob was happily married to Cheryl Adamek for 38 loving years. Bob worked for Santa Fe ISD as, “The Cool Bus Driver”, and took great pride in his job and had a special place in his heart for the children he was entrusted to transport. Bob’s passion was for watching sports, helping others by donating blood and of course, his entire family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melford and Ruth Charette; grandparents, Joseph John Adamek, Sr. and Anne Adamek; and his father, Joseph John Adamek. Bob is survived by his parents, Richard and Darlene Booth; wife, Cheryl Adamek; daughters, Rhonda Pucheu, Carla Adamek and Stephanie Adamek; sons-in-law, Ronnie Meredith and Brett Bingham; grandsons, Allen, Connor, Bryce, Jake, Jacob and Baby Richard; sisters, Kim McClure and Rhonda Jones; mother-in-law, Betty Cooper; and a host of other loving brothers, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends of Bob's contact the blood bank for donations.
The Adamek family will receive visitors on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, Texas. A celebration of Bob’s life is scheduled for Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home followed with his burial in Forest Park East Cemetery.
