I worked with Bobby at Texas Marine when I was in the food division. He was one of the most pleasant people I have ever known. He will be missed.

Mr. Deem was like a second father to me.  I have many sweet memories hanging out at the lake house.  He taught me how to ski :).  I will always cherish all those wonderful times with him and the entire Deem family.  Please accept my deepest condolences.  My thoughts & prayers are with y'all ...

My husband (George Horton, Horton & Horton, Inc.) spoke daily with Bobby Deem for years - at TX Marine. He adored Bobby and spoke of him often. George died in 2011 - maybe they can get together now and fix all the world's problems.

Bobby will forever be remembered as a gentleman, friend and associate by so many of us we are difficult to count. To have a friend you have to be a friend. Bobby Deem was a friend to everyone he ever met. I know because of the huge number of friends that he leaves behind. I first got acquainted with him  professionally. He was an outstanding representative of Texas Marine Supply. He was an expert at determining what you wanted and making sure that you got what you needed, always at a fair price. And with that captivating smile that was so representative of his caring character. Socially Bobby was dare I call him a “trip.” Propeller Club, OctoberFest, Bar-B-Que Cook-Off, Shrimp Boil all were tremendously enriched by his organization or mere presence. Fun loving, friendly joking, not above a trick on you no and again still with that wonderful smile. He was missed professionally when he retired and will be missed even more by all of us friends as the wonderful, loving, caring person that he was.
My sincerest sympathies to the family at this very difficult time of personal loss. My prayer is that God's Grace and Peace be with you.

Many of us mourn the loss a dear friend. Great memories created and shared by "our  gang" are numerous....trips, the lake, parties and home visits, were always better when Bobby & Lanelle were involved.

Papa Deem will be missed dearly. I will always remember the conversation I had with him at the Pointe. My heart goes out to the family in this time of sorrow. Papa Deem and his wife were family to me as I got to know them through the years. Papa Deem always had a smile on his face he would always make me laugh. Papa Deem and your family will always have a special place in my heart. To the family thank you for giving me the opportunity to have met a incredible man. Mr. Deem (or "Papa" as most of us knew him) was a wonderful man and will really be missed by all of us.  I have very fond memories of time spent at the lake with the family when Courtney was much younger - fun times and memories to keep forever.  We love you all and send our deepest sympathies.

My earliest memories of Mr. Deem were at the OFA Ballpark; of course we all grew up at OFA, since I had 3 brothers and the Deem's had 3 sons and they all pIayed ball.  I remember that he always had that handsome smile on his face that let you know that you really wanted to know this man; then once I did, it only confirmed what his smile had already told me, he was one of the nicest & finest people you could ever want to meet.  He and my Dad had become friends through work and I know that my Dad thought so very much of him.  He was a very special person and I feel so honored to have known him.  I know that his family will miss him very much but can take comfort in knowing that they had one terrific husband and dad.  My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family at this very difficult time.
