Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Tomasa Fonseca; brother, Ruben Fonseca; sister, Oralia Ramirez; twin brother, Humberto Fonseca; and his son in law, Adrian Rodriguez. All of whom we know were waiting with open arms to greet him. He is survived by his loving children and grandchildren, Robert Fonseca, Jr and his children, Chris (Jenna), Hannah, Joshua, and Emily; Michele Rodriguez and her children, Rachel (Angie) and Kaitlin; Robert had one great-granddaughter, Sofia Peyton Fonseca. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Esther Sadler; former spouse, Kitty Fonseca; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members that he loved very much.
Robert was a true family man and wanted nothing more than to provide his family with the absolute best that he could. He was always hard working and still took all his extra time being an active part in his children and grandchildren’s lives. Whether that meant coaching a little league baseball team, cheering loudly during dance recitals or teaching everyone his tried and true methods for catching the biggest fish, he was involved. He always made everyone laugh around him. Always cracking jokes and being the life of the party. Robert would give you the shirt off his back if you asked and would never think to ask for it back. He was also a HUGE Houston sports fan. He never missed a single Texans, Rockets or Astros game. Even during a pandemic, he found a way to watch repeats of games so he felt like the world hadn’t change at all! The world will be a very different place now that he has left it and we will all be changed by the impact he made on our lives. He will be truly missed.
