Saddened to hear now about Robert's death April 30th, I am remembering the years of Sunday mornings he joined us at services of the Center for Spiritual Living, and each time contributed his wit, his caring, and a nice warm hug upon leaving.

Robert came to our Center for Spiritual Living when he could. Whenever I gave the talk he would say something nice about it and he always tried to make us laugh with his jokes. I am so sorry that we will never see him there again but I know we will all meet again with our loved ones when the time comes. Blessings to his family and friends and to Robert, many blessings and love.

I was close to Mr Hirschfeld at a time in my life where calling him "Robert" was just not an option. Even now as a 49 year old, I have to revert back to the 13 year old boy who Mr Hirschfeld took to work with him on more than one occasion. I rode in his big, blue work truck as we emptied gumboil machines and weighed change in brown sacks. This blew my 13 year old mind. What a job. All the jawbreakers and gum I could chew AND I got paid (no, not in loose change)? Never was there a kinder soul on this planet than Mr Hirschfeld and on the first opportunity, I will give Mrs. Hirschfeld a big hug and tell her what he meant to me.

Weren't many times i was around but there was always something interesting to do or discuss with Robert.
I was surprised to find out about his Bubble Gum business as it was considerable - and this was the basis of how he never paid RENT (which is a different story).

A dear and long time friend-----had lots of fun together. You could call on Robert for help with anything, and he would be the first to respond. Love and remember you forever.
