Robert "Ted" T. Keeler

Robert T. "Ted" Keeler passed away March 9, 2011 in Nassau Bay, Texas. He was born October 13, 1935 in Emporia, Kansas to Clinton W. & Ruth F. Keeler. He graduated from Emporia High School then enlisted in the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps. Ted graduated from Galveston College and was a Master Firefighter working in several fire departments throughout his career. He retired from the City of La Porte Fire Department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seabrook and the VFW Memorial Post 6378 in Dickinson, Texas.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton & Ruth Keeler and a brother, Charles Keeler. Survivors include his wife, Norma J. Keeler; daughter, Debra K. Soileau; son & daughter-in-law, Jeff & Lisa Keeler; daughter, Janine Marie Keeler, daughter, Eva Lynn Manley; son, Clinton Wayne Keeler and seven grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-8 pm, Monday, March 14, 2011 at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in the Chapel at Forest Park East Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Purdy officiating. Interment to follow in Forest Park East Cemetery.
