Rolando was born in Matanzas, Cuba and raised in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Upon completing all of his required studies and grade levels in school, he began seeking employment. He left Trinidad to Cuba in search of employment. Then left Cuba to the U.S. to find employment. Rolando was a welder by trade. He became an entrepreneur and started his own welding business.
Roley was his nickname. He was full of pride. Although he was a caring person and cared about all who was dear to him, it was hard for him to explain. He felt like you should just know he loved without all the talk. When he had enough talk, he would often say, “Your time is up, or that is that.”
By faith, Rolando was a Christian and attended Catholic Church as often as he could. He really enjoyed life. Earlier in his life, he enjoyed traveling. Roley liked to mingle and be in the company of friends. He also loved music, mainly calypso. Ping pong and checkers were his favorite games to play. He also liked to sing and play his harmonica.
He was preceded in death by: Joseph Raymond, Lillian Raymond, Nellie Raymond, Vivian Raymond, Sonny Raymond and Roumania Bruton
He will be deeply missed by: Linda Daniels, Lillian Gadson, Thomas Gadson, Anissa Clewis, Tonia Clewis, Tommie Clewis, Shalyric Gadson, Patsy Raymond, nieces, nephews, special dear friends, and all who knew and loved him.
