

Rollie Glenn Cunningham Jr., 88 of Pasadena, Texas passed away Sunday August 18, 2013. Glenn was born in San Antonio, TX and moved with his family to Houston when he was 11. He was in the Navy from 1943 to 1946 during World War II where he piloted an LTD in the Okinawa campaign. His working career included grocery store management with multiple grocery stores, Dixon Gun Plant and he retired from Ethyl/Albemarle after 38 years of service. He was an active member of Houston Gospel Tabernacle in Houston from the time he moved to Houston and when the church moved to Pasadena the name was changed to Elim Church where he served as a Deacon until a couple of years ago. He had a very active life and loved his family, traveling and camping.
Glenn was a well-known “Care Giver” and a “Fixer” as he took care of the Church, his father, mother and wife Velma, brother, aunts and elderly in the church in their time of special needs for many years. He was always working on cars, fixing air conditioners, taking elderly grocery shopping or doctor appointments and other special help as needed.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father Rollie Glenn Cunningham Sr. and mother Mattie “Lois” Cunningham, his wife of 55 years Velma J. Cunningham and Brother John. He is survived by his children: Larry and his wife Charlene, Linda Barron and her husband David, Ray and his wife Jan, Mark and his wife Lauree. His Sister Alleen Julian and her husband Vince. He is also survived by his wife of 10 years Geneva, step-son Timothy and his wife Tanya, step-daughter Nita and numerous grandchildren and their families, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
