She was born in Mathis, Texas to SanJuana Pena and Juan Salinas on February 20, 1930. She was the oldest of seven.
Rosenda was a family first woman who loved her husband Margarito Arias, together they had 20 children, 39 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren and 59 great-great grandchildren. She was survived by sister Adelitia Torres and Raymond Salinas, her twelve children Delia(Pablo), Rito(Anita), Rudy(Norma), Sergio, Oscar(Yolanda), Leo(Sylvia), Ofelia(Julio), Elda(Nuno), Elva(Larry), Nelda(Julio), Terry(Cynthia), Veronica(Danny) and her special grandchildren Adrian and Berdie and many grandchildren. While she could come across as tough and strong-willed, deep down she was one of the most tender caring ladies you could find. In her spare time, she enjoyed a good laugh, cooking, caring for her flowers, collecting family photos, and she also was a praying woman. She would enjoy her cup of coffee along with her pan dulce or toast. Rosenda wasn’t just a mother to her own children but to many others throughout the years. She would always have her front door open to many no questions asked.
She was preceded in death by her parents SanJuana Pena and Juan Salinas, her husband Margarito Arias, brothers Valdo, Daniel and Domingo Salinas, and a sister Angelita Torres. As well as her two daughters Delma Valdez(JJ), Esperansa Arias, two sons Mike Arias, Daniel Arias, four beautiful babies, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She will be missed by so many. Please continue to keep her family in your prayers.
