Roy Glenn Gage, 92, of Pearland, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 31. Roy was married to Grace Gage for 69 years. He was a deacon at Sagemont Church and a member of the pastoral team that visited hospitals. He was passionate about bible study, the love of his life Grace, his family, and Alabama Crimson Tide football.
Roy began working at the age of 13 to provide for his mother after his Dad passed away, and worked his entire life until retirement. He graduated with an electrical engineering degree from the University of Alabama. Beginning his career as an engineer, his work ethic and accomplishments lead to his eventual promotion to president and general manager, and later as the owner of a small business. Roy had a reputation for turning and developing businesses into success, and after retirement became a consultant and mentor to younger managers and owners.
His biggest legacies however, are the impact that he had in teaching, and leading bible studies in prisons and at his neighborhood community center. One of his favorite bible passages was Psalms 139.
