Sandra "Sandy" Dee (Tate) Allyn, 64, of League City, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 6, 2026, after a brief but difficult hospitalization related to underlying health conditions. She passed away peacefully with her daughter and nephew by her side, surrounded by love. She was born on June 18, 1962, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Sandy was a devoted and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had the biggest heart and centered her world around her daughter and grandson, who were the greatest joys of her life. She would do anything for the people she loved, giving selflessly without expecting anything in return. When Sandy loved, she loved unconditionally and wholeheartedly. She was a fighter—strong, resilient, and determined—facing many health challenges in recent years with remarkable courage. Through it all, she never lost her sense of humor, always cracked jokes, and faithfully shared her love for the Lord with those around her.
Nothing brought Sandy more happiness than spending time with her family. She especially cherished making memories with her daughter and grandson, whether they were playing outside, shopping, going out to eat, or simply enjoying one another's company. She delighted in spoiling her grandson every chance she had and treasured every moment they shared. She also enjoyed listening to country music and found joy in life's simple moments surrounded by those she loved.
Sandy was preceded in death by her brother, Dave Lee Tate, Sr.; her father, Marvin Earl Tate, Sr.; and her mother, Jeannette Faye Thorson.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Ashley Allyn-Bonnington, and son-in-law, Joshua Bonnington; her beloved grandson, Oliver Bonnington; her brother, Marvin Earl Tate, Jr.; her sister, Debra Dianne Seidel; her nephews, Steven Pringle, Josh Tate, and David Tate, Jr.; her aunt, Wynona Ellison; as well as many cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
A private viewing will be held. Per Sandy's wishes, she will be cremated, and no public funeral service will take place.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Sandy is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. Her unconditional love, humor, strength, unwavering faith, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
