Sean graduated from Friendswood High School in 2011 where he was a member of the varsity football team. After high school, Sean enrolled in the San Jacinto College HVARC Technology program and earned his Residential Air Conditioning Occupational Certificate. He was employed by Andre Air Conditioning, Heating & Appliance. His dream was to start his own HVAC company one day.
He had a passion for sports, loved cheering on the Astros and was happiest when fishing or spending time with friends. Sean possessed an easy charm and an infectious smile. He was passionate about self-improvement and worked on becoming a better man each day. When he made mistakes in his life, he tried to pass those lessons along to his friends and family members. He was a loyal friend, a shoulder to cry on, and a good son. If you were down on your luck or just needed a helping hand, Sean would be there for you. He was passionate about his family and his extended family of friends. Sean was a work in progress -- his hopes, dreams and goals cut tragically short. We mourn not only the man he was, but the man he wanted to be; the man we will never know.
Sean was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mr. Warren Thornton, affectionately known as Apaw, Mr. Harold Sabin, Mr. Elton Plaisance; grandmother, Audrey Ann Plaisance, and his stepbrother Stephen Plaisance.
Sean is survived by his mother, Kathleen Plaisance and her husband Keith Plaisance, father, Warren Thornton, sisters Faith Plaisance and Karley Thornton, grandmothers Peggy Thornton and Theresa Sabin, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends who loved him dearly.
A memorial Celebration of Sean's life will be held Saturday, January 4 at 10:00AM in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas. Immediately following the memorial service, Sean will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery. In honor of Sean's life guests are invited to wear fishing shirts.
