Shirley Ann Williams

Shirley Ann Williams, 75 of San Leon, Texas passed away on May 27, 2017. She was born in Borger, Texas on January 8, 1942 to Sidney Earl Williams, Sr. and Hazel Mae Cook Williams. Shirley was a long time resident of League City before moving to San Leon and graduated from Clear Creek High School.

Shirley was a multi-talented person and had a career in various fields. She worked at NASA for 12 years in Human Resources. She also worked in the school cafeteria, Olan Mills, American National Insurance, League City State Bank and ended her career as a certified nurses aide. She was a long time member of the League City Friends Church before moving to San Leon.

Shirley loved reading, gardening, crocheting, writing poetry and painting. She spent many hours surrounded by her loving pets and was never able to turn away an animal in need.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Hazel Williams, her sister, Sharon Seaman, and her daughter, Dawn Marie LeBlanc.

She is survived by her daughter Sherry Anastas (David), granddaughter, Nina Shaver, brothers Sidney Williams, Jr. and John Williams (Debbie), sister, Patsy Seaman, along with many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 2, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598. Funeral Service immediately following at 12:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Interment at Forest Park East Cemetery.
