Sonia Emma Rodriguez

Sonia Emma Rodriguez "Mama" born on Dec 23, 1937 in Ponce, PR passed away at age 77 at Clear Lake Regional Heart and Vascular Hospital after unexpected heart problems. Mama was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was the most sensitive, loving and caring person I know. She was our rock, our strength, our guide, our motivator, our inspiration, our friend, our confident and most of all our MOM. Her focus was always her family. She loved her word search books, jeopardy, wheel of fortune, family feud and of course her Novelas. She made sure everyone was doing well. She took care of all her grandkids and great-grandbaby with adoration. She put her family first before anything or anyone. Our Mama was and is a blessing to all of us and to everyone that had the opportunity to meet her. She never had a negative thing to say about anyone. She always had words of wisdom and encouragement to say. She always had a smile and loved to share that smile with everyone around her. She always took the time to call all those that had crossed her path at any given time in her life to see how they were and if they needed anything. She was heaven sent to us and she has now gone back to continue to take care of us until the end of our days. Mama is survived by her 5 daughters Elsie, Sonita, Millie, Carola, Marian; 7 grandkids Vale, Nano, Kassy, Kathy, Karina, Karen, Krystal; 1 great-grandbaby Daniel "Gordo"; Sister Rita; Son in laws Mario and Rodolfo; and many others that loved her very much.
