Susan "Susie" Garison

Susie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Gene “Iggy” Garison; and her sister, Linda Prokop.

She is survived by her loving children, daughter Tammy Renee De Los Santos and son Samuel Wayne Hood of Greenville, Texas; and by her cherished granddaughter, Madelyn De Los Santos of Pasadena, the light of her life. She is also survived by many dear friends including Diana Spears Woodley, Lynn Summers, and Phyllis Roberts, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her deeply.

Susie graduated from Pasadena High School in the Class of 1969 and also attended Sam Houston State University. As a child, she was active in dance, Methodist Youth Fellowship, and Girl Scout Troop 1229. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her granddaughter Madelyn, with whom she shared a close and special bond.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.

A memorial service will be held on July 11, 2025, at 10:00 am at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, United States.

Following the memorial service, a reception will take place at the same venue from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
