

Terry was a highly respected and accomplished drummer whose passion for music defined much of his life. He spent 11 years performing with the house band at Gilley’s, The Bayou City Beats, and also played with numerous country, R&B, and cover bands throughout his career. In addition to performing, he worked for many years as a recording engineer and session player.
Terry was admired for his remarkable musical talent, but even more for his genuine, kind heart and the loyal friendship he gave to so many.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Claude Sumrall; his daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Matt Cook; and his former wife, Sharon Westbrook. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and fellow musicians.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, US, on March 16, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the Funeral at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598, US, on March 16, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
