

Theresa Gomez Casas, a beacon of boundless love, and cherished friend to all, departed this earthly life on October 22, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on August 11, 1948, Theresa was a lifelong resident of Pasadena, Texas. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void, yet the warmth of her presence will forever illuminate the hearts of those she touched.
Theresa was the quintessence of a nurturer, dedicating her life selflessly to acts of generous service and devotion. She possessed an enormous, compassionate heart, a comedic wit that could light up the dimmest room, and an infectious spirit that ensured she was genuinely beloved by everyone who had the privilege of crossing her path.
A Partnership Forged in Love
At the tender age of 20, she married her high school sweetheart, David Casas, Jr., beginning a golden partnership built on unwavering commitment. For 53 years, they were utterly devoted to each other, a testament to enduring love that sustained them until David’s passing in 2022. Together, they cultivated a successful family legacy through their business, Casas Catering, before embarking on a well-deserved retirement in 2005.
Theresa was a rare and precious soul, a singular force as a wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Her devotion to her family and all those she cherished knew no bounds.
Cherished Family Legacy
Theresa now rests eternally, having been joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, David Casas, Jr.; her dear parents, Tomas and Mercedes Gomez; her brothers, Mario, Tommy and Robert and sisters Cora and Virgina.
She leaves behind a vibrant and loving lineage:
Sons and Daughters: David Casas III, Steven Casas, Richard Nelson and his wife Tamera, Gloria Sanchez, and Valdemar Bernal and his wife Kilian.
Siblings: Her brothers, Paul and Jesse Gomez, and her sister Mary Bernal with her brother-in-law Eli Rodriguez and sisters-in-law Isabel and Patti.
Grandchildren: Desiree, David IV, Max, Brett, Chloe, Jose, and Candace. She also held deep affection and appreciation for her grandson-in-law, Ryan.
Theresa held a deep and enduring affection for her many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In celebrating her life, the Casas family also wishes to sincerely acknowledge the incredible bond shared with Joe and Wanda Fannin and their sons, Jeremy, Clayton, and Mark. This treasured friendship, spanning over 50 years, made the Fannin family a cherished and irreplaceable part of our own.
Theresa will be profoundly missed for the unparalleled warmth and closeness she wove into the fabric of her family’s life, leaving behind a profound and beautiful legacy of love to be cherished and faithfully carried on.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Forest Park East Funeral Home, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas. The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 10:00 am same location, followed by a committal service.
