

Thomas attended Farmerville High School and Port Arthur High School. He later went on to graduate from Port Arthur Business College. It was there that he met the love of his life, Elsie.
Thomas and Elsie were married on February 5, 1944 before he was drafted into the Navy. During his time with the Navy Thomas became an accomplished pilot. After faithfully serving his country, Thomas went to work for Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Wanting to further his education, Thomas and Elsie moved to Beaumont where he attended Lamar University where he graduated at the top of his class with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He then returned to work for Sandia National Laboratories where he remained for 36 years retiring in 1985. After retirement Thomas and Elsie returned to Texas where they resided until Thomas’ passing.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents and son Thomas L. Pace Jr.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Elsie.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 24 from 12:00-1:00PM in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas. A Celebration of Thomas’ life will begin at 1:00PM, immediately following he will be laid to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery.
