Travis E. “Shorty” Hamilton, age 90, of Pearland, TX passed away on June 5, 2018. Travis was born in Bear Creek Alabama on May 5, 1928 to Herbert and Addie Hamilton. He married his wife Olene on June 7, 1949 and they were married for 65 years.
Shorty was an extremely hard worker and on his free time enjoyed helping others, watching sports, shooting pool, and spending time with his family. He was a lifelong member of League City Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by son Travis Hamilton, Jr.; wife Olene; brother Herbert Jr.; and grandson Colby Dudley.
He is survived by sister Bulah “Sis” Shannon; daughter Laura Dudley and husband Dale; in-law Julie Hamilton; grandchildren Ryan Hamilton, Shelby Malkemes and husband Jason; four great grandchildren, Harlie, Aspen, Sage and Jacelyn; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598. A Celebration of life will begin at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow in the cemetery at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
