Uyen was born on February 24th, 1974 in Song Cau, Phu Yen to Van Can Truong and Vo Thi Phit.
She immigrated to America, in 2005, in hopes of finding better opportunities with her husband and daughter, Can Nguyen and Anna Truong.
She grew up in Song Cau, Phu Yen and went on to work as a teacher in Vietnam then as a nail technician in America, where she was known for her diligence.
Outside of work, Uyen dedicated her life to being a kindhearted mother and devoted wife where she nurtured a healthy and successful home for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones where she would go out to Bellaire to try new foods or spend hours shopping. Uyen's strong value in family was through her deep connection with Buddhism.
She will be remembered by family and friends for her strength and compassion.
Uyen was surrounded by her husband, Can Nguyen, and daughters: Anna Truong and Julea Nguyen. And her multiple siblings: Thuc Uyen, Hai Au, Tra My, Cam Tu, Quoc Bao Truong.
