Virginia Bova

She was born in Dayton, Texas on April 14, 1933 to Anthony and Bessie Cone. She was married to Samuel L. Bova for 53 years. Virginia worked for Northside State Bank and Bay Area Bank. She was active in the PTA at Christ the King and had a passion for spending time with family and friends, shell hunting on the beach and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Bova; parents, Anthony and Bessie Cone; son, James Bova; daughter in law, Donna Bova; sisters, Christine Komincak and Amelia Johnson; brothers, Archie Cone and Harold Cone.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Kathy Pierce and husband Dave; sons, Anthony Bova, Sammy Bova and wife Jill; Grandchildren, Wendy Lorie and husband Jeff, Kirk Pierce, Anna Pierce, Benjamin Bova, Noah Bova, Brittney McGowen and husband Joe; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Kimich, Martha Ann “Andy” McCleney; brother, Phillip “Buddy” Cone; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church 18223 Point Lookout Drive, Nassau Bay, Texas 77058 with interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
