Wanda Kaye Cash

Wanda Kaye Cash age 82 departed this earthly life and went to her Heavenly home on Saturday January 4, 2025. Wanda was born to her parents James Alton and Lyndell Jean Cheatham on May 1,1942, in Magnolia Arkansas.

Wanda and her family moved to Houston where she attended Jesse H. Jones High School Class of 1960. She then attended Sam Houston State University and while there met and married the father of her children Ray Cash. This Union gave Wanda the greatest gifts of her life, her daughters Deborah Lynn and Andrea Marie. Wanda had a wonderful working career starting at Nasa where she met and worked with many of the astronauts. She then worked in the oil and gas industry with Shell Oil until her retirement at age 65.

Wanda was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo for 30 years. And she was the #1 fan of her granddaughter Alicia. And “Mama Cash”

also was the #1 supporter of Andrea’s softball career wherever she played and coached.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved daughter Deborah, and her brother James Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter and best friend Andrea and her granddaughter Alicia.
