He was born in Stranger, Texas, on January 31, 1935, to George and Edna Bryant. Wayne was a hard-working individual who dedicated 38 years to Baker-Hughes before retiring. After retirement, he joined his wife in starting their business, Partners in Advertising. He was also a member of Clear Lake Presbyterian Church and prior to that Trinity Presbyterian where he served as an Elder. He was a founding member of Leadership Houston and East End Progress Association. He was active in AADE (drilling organization), many marketing associations & won numerous awards for his leadership & service.
Wayne loved his wife, Dorothy, with every fiber of his being, as well as his family and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Dorothy Bryant; his sister, Delores Rogers; his brother, Charles Bryant; his parents, George and Edna Bryant; and his grandsons, Justin Bennett and Bryan Evans.
Wayne is survived by his daughter, Angela Evans, and her husband, Danny; his son, Craig Bryant, and his wife, Theresa; his daughter, Libbie Bennett, and her husband, Gary. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jesse Atkinson, Sean Bryant, Chelsea Porlan and her husband, Daniel, and Megan Harrell and her husband, Sherman; and his great-grandchildren, Isabella Porlan, Luca Porlan, and Bonnie Harrell. Wayne is also survived by his brother, Wendell Bryant, and his sister, Bobbie Beck, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne Bryant will be remembered for his dedication and love for his family, love of God, his humor, his years of community service, integrity and his hard-working nature.
A memorial service will be held at Clear Lake Presbyterian Church, located at 1511 El Dorado Blvd in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 11:30 am with an hour visitation prior.
