Raised in West University Baptist Church, William, affectionately known as Bill, attended Lamar High School where he participated in the FFA program, raising two steers. Following high school, Bill joined the US Navy on February 11, 1971, serving his country as a deckhand.
Bill was an avid Astros fan who loved fishing, camping, and spending time at the beach. After his military service, he worked alongside his father at Harold's Garage in Rice Village. Family time was precious to Bill, particularly at their beach house in Bolivar, Texas, where he cherished moments with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Jerry and Joe, nieces Elisa and Kim, and grandson Jeremy. Bill leaves behind his daughter Rachel, son-in-law Larry, grandchildren Lance, Ryan, and Skylar, brother Hank, sisters Lori and Linda, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
