Hello cousin Jesse.  This is Christopher Ubias, used to run with Tommy when we were little .   I am sorry for your loss.  Yolanda and yourself had a long lasting marriage.  Hang on to your most beautiful memories and she will always be with you.

My favorite part of the year is every family gathering when we played games, takes about family, or just laugh at old memories. I loved have everything was just bright and there was never a quiet room, all my memories were all so fun or wonderful I can’t remember a single bad memory of yoli she was so fun and nice to talk to and never made me feel left out when I was around her, my favorite part was when every time I saw her she would ask my name and I loved her over again I might have no known her for a long time but sometimes it felt like I’ve known her for my entire life I wish I could have one more conversation with her but I’m glad she’s in a better place

I remember the first time I saw yoli it was in a picture my mom showed me,. In the picture it was of Jesse and yoli sitting at a small table. Then the first time I met yoli, it was just a simple hello, as I was running out side to play. Then they started coming over, and the more I got to know her, the more I realized, hey this person is family. She came for a small state in of California to the big state of Texas, and then the bigger state of galena Park/  Pasadena to the huge state that is the Ubias family. She didn’t try to force her way in or try to fit in the family. She was just being herself and never changed. It was like a missing piece of a puzzle and it was just right. Now you are gone but will never be forgotten you will be missed. you did leave a piece of you in your daughters Michael and Yvonne and your grandchildren. You may be in a better place up there but you will be missed down there. We may have lost a family member but we gained an angel.

It is with great sorrow that I write this message for my very dear friend's precious mother, Yolanda Ubias.  "Miss Ubias", as I referred to her, can be described as someone who had perpetual joy.  The beautiful smile in her picture is the same smile she had on her face every single time I saw her.  She was kind, loving, fun, energetic and joyful always.  She was deeply loved by her family - and she will be missed very much.  From my perspective, as her oldest daughter's childhood friend, Miss Ubias raised two of the finest people I know - Michelle and Yvonne will no doubt continue their mother's legacy of love and joy.  I pray that the memories of Yolanda bring comfort to all of her family and loved ones in the difficult days ahead.

Mom- you are so missed by all of us. Your smile, laughter and quick wit are reminders I will always cherish. I love your generosity with others to make everyone feel welcome. I will miss our craft nights and family time together. You always instilled your faith and family values in me and I miss you every day.  Love you. Michelle

Yolanda was truly one of the kindest and most amazing people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Her warmth and beautiful spirit touched so many lives. I will miss her tremendously and will always be grateful to have known her.

My mom was a kind and loving person. She taught me to care for others, especially those who needed a little extra support and compassion. She taught me about God, faith, and the power of prayer.

I’ll miss our coffee talks, our silly moments, her laugh, and simply having her here. I’ll always treasure our heartfelt goodbyes and the love we shared in those moments.

My mom was my biggest supporter and one of the greatest blessings in my life.

Yolanda was the kindest, sweetest, friendliest person.  She was funny and had others laughing with her.  She was a  wonderful wife to Hesse, a great mother to her girls and grandchildren.  She especially was the  best sister and Aunt to me and my sons.  I’ve had a hard time wrapping my head around that you’re not with us but am comforted in knowing you’re in your heavenly home with other family members.  Love you sissy always and forever 🐬
