Yvonne will be remembered for the steady strength she brought to life and the warmth she extended to others. She carried herself with a determined spirit—strong-willed, yet approachable—and those who knew her experienced both her resolve and her genuine friendliness. A creative soul, she found satisfaction in making and doing, and her love of travel—especially the joy she found in cruises—spoke to an appreciation for discovery, new horizons, and time well spent.
Yvonne was a long time member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and she retired from Kroger after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Lillie Schonert.
Yvonne is survived by sister Belinda Calami and husband Albert; brother Kenneth Schonert; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. with a funeral service to start at 2:00 pm and a committal to follow.
