Carolyn Ruth Valli

Born in Milton, Massachusetts in 1943 as the second of five children to Leo and Ruth (McEntee) Mulhern, Carolyn joined the Maryknoll Sisters as a novice before moving on to get her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University in 1973.

A deeply devout Catholic, Carolyn served as a Christian missionary on reservations before moving to Cape Cod to teach elementary school. Here, she met her husband, Gene, who she married in 1978.

Carolyn was a social butterfly who loved swimming at the beach, reading books, and dabbling in art. A born teacher and caregiver, she adored children.

Carolyn, a long-time resident of Wellfleet and Truro, is survived by her husband, Gene; her sons and their wives, Jeremiah and Kylee; Jake and Jamie; her daughter, Emily; her three granddaughters, Jolene, June, and Georgia; plus, her four siblings and their spouses, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday, September 12th at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Lourdes in Wellfleet. A burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Wellfleet.
