Laura Jean Urquhart

June 13, 1959 – August 23, 2025

Laura Urquhart, 66, of Wellfleet, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 13, 1959, Laura was a graduate of Nauset Regional High School and a beloved member of the Wellfleet restaurant community. Known for her warmth, dedication, and generous spirit, she built lasting friendships and touched the lives of many.

She is survived by her husband, William Urquhart, her daughter, Kayla Urquhart, and her beloved grandson, Jacob.

She also leaves behind her father, Richard Bienvenue, her sister Denise Reeves and husband Don Reeves, her sister Rachel Butler and her partner Scott Baird, her brother Richard Bienvenue and his partner Michelle Peterson, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, Jean Bienvenue.

Laura will be remembered for her kindness, her love for those around her, and her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She had a deep love for the ocean and was happiest with her feet in the sand, the sun on her face, and the sound of the waves nearby. Laura was also known for her baking and cooking, a passion she shared generously with family and friends. Her meals, filled with warmth and love, will be missed by all who had the pleasure of enjoying them.
