Laurene was one of those people that could be having the worst day of she ever had and still find a way to laugh. She was that person that no matter how bad things were found a way to lift others with her with her kindness and smile, she always said it was the cape cod in her but I believe it was that the happiness and laughter was never far under her surface.

Laurene was a very special childhood friend. I guess I was 10 going into 5th grade when Laurene moved to North Sunken Meadow Rd. We quickly became very good friends! How could we not, she loved sports and was a super athlete. Basketball, forget about it, she’d kick my butt!
What would have my middle school years been like without Laurene? We were just such good friends. Laurene, being a year older made her friend ship even more special. If I could have handpicked a sister for those years, I would of handpicked a Laurene!
I wish we didn’t grow apart as we matured. I really don’t know why we did? Such is life, right? You don’t realize what you had or have until it’s lost or gone. I’ll never forget my friend Laurene!
Mrs Griffin, Steve and Mark, please accept my condolences. Dean
