Richard F. Souza

Richard F. Souza passed away, on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Seashore Point in Provincetown, MA. Richard was born in Wellfleet, MA on May 10, 1934. He was the beloved son of Joseph E. Souza and Evelyn Curran Souza.

Richard was a direct descendant of Stephen Hopkins a Mayflower descendant. Richard moved to Provincetown, MA in 1940 with his family.

He worked in many restaurants and at the Cold Storage hauling and packing fish. Richard enjoyed all sports, but loved the Red Sox’s, playing cards, dining out with family and friends and long walks around Provincetown. He also lived in Eastham, MA and Dennisport, MA and worked at the Donut Shop in Eastham, MA.

Richard was a very special person to all who knew and loved him. He had a sharp memory , a big friendly smile, and a kind heart. Richard will be deeply missed.

Richard is lovingly survived by his sister Joan Cordeiro of Provincetown, MA, his brother Peter Souza of Bennington, VT, his aunt Jeanette Nicholson of Eastham, MA, and many nieces and nephews.
