

Thomas J. Pellegrino “Tom”, 78, of Wellfleet, MA, passed away unexpectedly on May 9th, 2023. Thomas was predeceased by his mother Irene Pellegrino. Thomas is survived by his son Thomas C. Pellegrino and his wife Rachael and grandchildren Leila and Thomas of Harwich, he also is survived by his father Joseph Pellegrino, brother Norman and his wife Linda, brother Joseph and his wife Linda, sister Marie and her wife Cathan all of Wellfleet.
Tom was a native to Cape Cod and a lifelong resident of Wellfleet where he grew up and raised his family. He was a graduate of Nauset High School in 1963. After high school Tom joined the United States Air Force and served from 1965 to 1969 and rose to the rank of Sergent during the Vietnam conflict.
After the service he returned to Wellfleet and opened a gas station in Wellfleet called Pellegrino’s Gulf where he started his career as auto mechanic. Tom spent many years doing what he loved which was working on cars. Tom was also member of the Wellfleet Fire Department as a Call Firefighter in the 70's and 80's. As Tom aged, he transitioned to being a handyman and offering home watch services to many local residents.
Being a native Cape Codder Tom loved surf cast fishing for the native striped bass and bluefish species in the summer months. He also loved driving on the beach at Race Point in Provincetown where he spent time with family and friends enjoying a beer and siting by a fire.
Tom was a Boston sports fan with the Red Sox and Patriots being his favorite. He also enjoyed listening to classic country music.
Tom was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother. Tom will be missed by his family and friends but not forgotten.
We love you dad/grandpa Tom, till we meet again, continue looking over us.
